The fight must go on to stop this cruelty NOW
For the past five years, IWCT (now under the name of AKF in the Philippines) has employed six local people fulltime to investigate and prepare charges against those employed in this illegal activity.
Once the evidence has been gathered, it is reported to the police and a complaint by ourselves is then made.
This results in members of our crew accompanying the police in raiding the illegal premises where the crime is being committed.
The police arrest the offenders and charge them with violating the animal welfare act and the confiscated dogs are passed over into our care.
We subsequently have to take the dogs into the local City Pound, but sadly due to a lack of facilities, unless the dogs are re-homed (hardly any ever are), 7-10 days later they are put down.
IWCT/AKF is at this time negotiating to purchase land and will build a permanent rescue centre for the dogs, where a full and determined adoption programme will be launched and where healthy dogs that are not adopted,
will not be put down, but will be allowed to live our their natural life span.
Costs are very high and are forever mounting, but this work
must go on, that is why we are asking you today to send us a generous donation, or contact us for further information.
The horror pictures on this website speak for themselves and the nice pictures, where we have fed and given water to the dogs will also speak for themselves.
Together you and IWCT/AKF, providing we have the funds, can and will make a difference. Having witnessed many times the dreadful cruelty that the dogs are forced to endure at the hands of these evil dog traders,
I believe the rescued dogs deserve at very least a second chance of life.
